Re-wilding: The Forest will Forget Us is a multi-media installation which provides the viewer with a complex set of possible narratives regarding the history of an anonymous Alberta boreal forest lake and surrounding environments. The exhibition celebrates the resilience of nature and documents the passage of time and its impact upon human-made structures. It portrays artifacts imported and constructed by settlers slowly decaying and disappearing into the forest floor of the land that was once used to support their existence. The exhibition celebrates the resilience of nature that has been a common denominator for people living and surviving on the land.
